Dr. Akgün graduated from Muğla University in 2007 as a primary school teacher. He completed his master's degree at Hacettepe University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ergün Akgün received a doctorate on the estimation of student success with artificial neural networks at Dumlupınar University. Dr. Akgün worked as a research assistant at Uşak University Faculty of Education between the years of 2008-2018. His research interests include classroom teaching, distance education, educational data mining, the use of artificial intelligence for educational purposes, and classification analysis. Dr. Akgün is the director of Bahçeşehir University Distance Education Unit and a member of the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
