Sue Parminter is a freelance teacher, teacher trainer and ELT materials writer. She holds a Degree from York University in English Literature and Linguistics, the RSA Diploma in TEFL and is a certified CELTA trainer. Born in London, England, she is currently based in Spain with her husband Bill Bowler, where she works as a materials writer and teacher trainer. Sue started teaching with International House and the British Council more than 35 years ago and worked as a director of studies before starting her career as a trainer in 1989. Since then she has worked extensively with non-native teachers of English in many different countries. For the last ten years she has been involved in providing in-service professional development courses combining pedagogy and language support to primary and secondary teachers in Switzerland. As an ELT materials writer, Sue has authored primary and secondary coursebooks and supplementary materials as well as teacher’s books and teacher training materials.
