HAKAN UMUTLU

Education Administrator & EdTech Leader

Hakan UMUTLU works at Istanbul ENKA Schools as vice principal and a member of the distance learning planning and execution committee. Before ENKA Schools, Hakan worked as IT and EduTech Manager in SEV American College. He ran SAC’s BYOD Project, Edutech Teacher Trainings and IT courses with his team at SAC. During this period He led the SAC X-ZONE project which is the first innovation and co-working center built in a high school level to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. Also he ran DIS (Disruptive Innovation Summit) project which includes various entrepreneurship trainings and workshop for high school students from all around the country to support entrepreneurship ecosystem. Hakan graduated from Computer Education and Instructional Technologies and he has 14 years experience in Educational Technology. During this time, he worked in public and private schools as an ICT Teacher and Educational Technologist. He completed the Intel Project Based Learning Trainer Course, FATİH Project Trainer Course and Intel Learning Process Design Course. He worked as an instructor in “Technology Use in Foreign Language”, “ Technology Use in Education”, “Assessment and Evaluation in the Context of Digital Developments” courses. For a period of three years, he served as iTEC (Innovative Tecnologies for Engaging Classroom) pilot teacher and İTEC educator trainer for Ministry of Education teachers. He took a role as contributor in development learning scenarios about "3D printers and Augmented Reality in Education" with iTEC representatives from different countries at European SchoolNet Future Classroom Lab in Brussels. He has participated in various events as moderator,TEDx speaker and conference presenter.
